Can the Two Programs be Merged?

The two programs are similar enough to be merged. AAdvantage allows members to earn miles by donating money to charities, by using participating bank’s credit and debit cards, by dining at select restaurants, by participating with certain financial services companies, by paying certain home services bills or by staying in select hotels.

Rental cars, newspaper subscriptions and vacation packages are other ways to earn points. US Airways is similar, but the company partners with different vendors. The two programs merged would create a more comprehensive program that most people would enjoy.
