American Express brings you the innovative Blue CardThere are two true blue cards from American Express. One of the blue cards is the Blue Cash from American Express® and the other is the Blue from American Express®. We have found that the blue rewards card seems to bring in more applications than the cash card because of its low fixed APR for consumers. The blue designed cards from American Express come with a built in smart chip to help against fradulent purchases and identity theft. There are many articles out right now that this "Blue Card" could gain momentum and be the future of credit cards and hold more and more information in that small chip placed in the card. NEW! Blue Cash from American Express® has now removed the Spend limit (so their is no limit to the cash rebate you can earn). Take a look at some of the great benefits offered by Blue Cash from American Express:
How much do I have to spend to get 5% back on the Blue Cash Card? You need to spend $6,500.01 or more to get the 5% back on everyday purchases such as gas and groceries. All other purchases would be at the 1.5% level. If you have not spent over that amount then you would get 1.0% on everyday purchasees from $0-$6,500 and 0.5% on everything else. This is a major drawback of this card since there are so many restrictions of how much to spend to get a certain amount. I am not sure why Kiplinger's Personal Finance voted it the best with all of the cards where you do not have to spend a dollar and get instant rewards.
