How much do I have to spend to get 5% back on the Blue Cash Card?

You need to spend $6,500.01 or more to get the 5% back on everyday purchases such as gas and groceries. All other purchases would be at the 1.5% level. If you have not spent over that amount then you would get 1.0% on everyday purchasees from $0-$6,500 and 0.5% on everything else. This is a major drawback of this card since there are so many restrictions of how much to spend to get a certain amount. I am not sure why Kiplinger's Personal Finance voted it the best with all of the cards where you do not have to spend a dollar and get instant rewards.
