American Express Cards with the Lowest Interest

American Express offers several credit card choices, all aimed at customers with excellent credit. Both business and personal credit card customers rely on AmEx for many of their spending needs. Choose an American Express card with a low interest rate to make the most of your credit card and the many benefits the company offers to cardholders or opt for a traditional American Express card and avoid interest altogether.

The American Express Green Card offers the rewards and benefits of being an American Express cardholder, including rewards points and travel assistance. There is no set spending limit on the Green card, and as the balance is paid in full each month, there is also no interest charged. The card is free the first year, and has a $95.00 annual fee thereafter. This card can be an excellent choice for customers who do not carry a credit balance. American Express Platinum and Gold cards are managed in the same way, but the annual fee is variable depending upon the degree of benefits associated with the card.

The American Express Blue card functions like a standard credit card. It has no annual fee and a set spending limit. The APR is the lowest of the American Express cards, but is dependent upon your credit. A 12 month introductory APR of 0% is followed by a reasonable Prime Rate plus 6.99%. Rewards points may be redeemed at the Bonus Points Mall.

If you travel regularly, the Blue Sky card offered by AmEx allows easy access to travel rewards, including the ability to redeem 7,500 points for a $100 off nearly any travel purchase with no blackout dates. The interest is quite reasonable, at 7.99% plus Prime Rate, following an introductory 12 month 0% APR for customers with excellent credit.

The Blue Cash card offers a cash back reward system, including a surprisingly high 5% cash return on certain purchases and a 1.25% cash reward on other spending. There are no annual fees, a 12 month introductory APR and a reasonable 7.99% plus the Prime Rate APR for American Express customers with the best credit.

Clear by American Express offers no fees of any kind, easy rewards, and a reasonable interest rate. While some rewards plans are complicated, Clear gives you a $25.00 American Express shopping card for every $2,500 spent on your card. The interest rates are variable depending upon your credit rating, but start at Prime plus 8.99% after a generous one year 0% introductory offer.
