Donate Reward Points to Charities or Non-Profits

When you shop after earning reward points using your credit cards you normally just think of yourself when you spend your points.  However, after so many disasters that you cannot even count on one hand you have to find some way to give back to the community.  You could also donate to the many non-profit organizations directly without a disaster to strike.   The Bill Gates philanthropy fund and an AIDS or Cancer Research fund are always very good-hearted ways to improve the world’s health.  There are also very simple ways of donating when you use your credit card.   A few of the great charity or non-profit organization credit cards include the Democratic Party card, HRC, Anne Geddes Baby Card, and the Make-A-Wish Card (featured below). These are special credit cards that make you feel good about every purchase because you are doing better for the community.

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts now has a partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, one of the largest international charities. Now Hyatt Gold Passport members are eligible to donate points to this global organization, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. These donations will enable the Make-A-Wish Foundation to redeem free nights at Hyatt properties worldwide in support of their efforts to make the children's wishes come true.

If you send your Hyatt Gold Passport Points to the Make-A-Wish Foundation you can choose to donate between the American or the International organization.  They do require that the minimum transfer is 5,000 points.
