Student Rewards Cards: Build Your Credit History

Here is our list of the top student credit card offers.  You will also find great student offers from Citibank and MTV University compared to parnerships like Universal and Chase.  No matter what college you goto there are cards designed to give you cash back or rewards benefits off paying your tuition.  We recommend you pay your tuition with a rewards credit card even if you received a student loan for your fall or spring classes.  While paying for your tuition or books with student rewards cards be careful not to get deep into credit card debt by paying your bills off in full each month. Students will pay 0% APR for nearly the WHOLE School Year. With most Student Discover Cards extending their introductory 0% APR offers from six months to a FULL 9 MONTHS without interest on purchases, college students who shop with Discover cards can go virtually the entire scholastic year without accruing any interest. The Citi offer below is tempting with a $50 Cash offer and is our most recommended student card if you do not want a balance transfer.

High School & Younger Student Credit Cards

The above credit cards are mostly for college or university students while there are not that many cards available for teens in highschool.  If you are in highschool we offer a rewiew on the Allow Card and the Visa Buxx program, a prepaid card for parents to basically give their kids an allowance and track spending.  This is not a rewards card but it does offer a great way to give money to your kids without the worries.

Credit cards work as a superior way to build your credit. If you have a student loan you do not want to use a credit card to repay that loan since the interest would be much higher. The zero percent offers only last up to 12 months in most cases and student loans you can normally get low interest for years to come.
