Bank_of_America_Virgin_Atlantic_AirlinesVirgin Atlantic miles may not be the most valuable miles you can get with opening a checking account but since they no longer are offering the $300 bonus we thought we would post. One great thing you can do is top off or send miles over to your Hilton HHonors account with Virgin Atlantic and that is why we mainly use it.

You’re not eligible for this bonus if you were a signer or owner of a Bank of America checking account within past twelve months to make sure that it’s a new customer. A Direct deposit is required of two qualifying direct deposits of $2,000. This includes a paycheck, pension, Social Security check or other eligible income electronically deposited by an employer or an outside agency into your new checking account.

You should get your bonus of 25,000 miles within 60 days of meeting all of the above requirements. All bank account bonuses are treated as income interest you have to report these to the IRS and pay taxes on them. They did not state the value of the 25,000 mile.

One great thing about this promotion is there is no early account termination fee. There is a Core Checking $12 Monthly Fee
that is waived if you meet one of the following requirements:

Have at least one qualifying direct deposit of $250 or more
Maintain an average daily balance of $1,500 or more
Are a student under the age of 23
Interest Checking $25 Monthly Fee
Monthly fee on this account is waived if you hold balances of $10,000 or more in your eligible linked accounts such as savings, personal CDs and IRAs

Offer expires July 31st, 2015. Find the offer here: promotions.bankofamerica.com/virginatlanticoffer.
