Alaska Airlines has partnered with 12 ski resorts for the 2018-2019 season where you can get a free lift ticket just by showing your boarding pass. Just make sure to keep your Alaska Airlines boarding pass, or print out extra copies, and show your pass at the mountains sale office to redeem your complimentary lift ticket. Skiing isn’t normally cheap so this is a great offer to take advantage of it.

The twelve resort partners include:

Alyeska Resort (accessible via Anchorage’s ANC)
Big White Ski Resort (accessible via Kelowna’s YLW)
Mt. Bachelor (accessible via Bend’s RDM)
Red Lodge Mountain (accessible via Billings’ BIL)
Red Mountain (accessible via Spokane’s GEG)
Schweitzer Mountain (accessible via Spokane’s GEG)
Ski Marmot Basin (accessible via Edmonton’s YEG)
Snowbasin (accessible via Salt Lake’s SLC)
Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows (accessible via Reno/Tahoe’s RNO)
Steamboat Ski and Resort (accessible via Steamboat’s HDN)
Sun Valley Resort (accessible via Sun Valley’s SUN)
Whitefish Mountain resort (accessible via Kalispell/Glacier Park’s FCA)

Each ski resort varies with the promotion but in general you present an Alaska Airlines boarding pass into the corresponding airport then you get a free ski pass for that resort.

In addition to the above promotions, Alaska Airlines is discounting checked baggage fees for ski and snowboard equipment to $25 per bag.

Another bonus is that you can use the Companion Fare benefit on Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan credit cards and it works for both passengers to get free skiing passes. The cards that have companion fares are The Alaska Airlines Visa Signature Card and The Alaska Airlines Visa Business Card.

Both cards offer an annual anniversary certificate that allows you to purchase one ticket as normal, and receive a second for $99 plus the taxes and fees every year.
