Hilton Honors 500 Points App Bonus Vs. CashBack Online

Hilton Honors 500 Points App Bonus Vs. CashBack Online

Hilton Honors has introduced an app booking bonus for 500 points that is valid for stays all the way until the end of 2017. Only reservations that are made using the app are eligible for these bonus points. If you book using the App you won’t get any cash back by using a site such as Ebates to get 2% or more. Which is one of the reasons the hotels want you to book through the app so they can get everything direct. (more…)

Free 6 Month Tidal HiFi Music Subscription ($119.94 in Free Music and Content)

All you need to do is head over here and enter promo code sprint to get a Free 6 Month Tidal HiFi Music Subscription. No credit card or payment is required. We recommend trying out this music subscription for 6 months then canceling before it expires if you do not want to pay the high prices they charge or keep it if you are impressed or addicted.  Instructions on how to cancel are below. This can save you $119.94 because TIDAL normally costs either $19.99 a month for the exclusive content, experiences and this higher tier has the added benefit of high-fidelity sound.

I signed up easily using the sprint code with my Facebook login. It still said that I was not signed in at the top for some reason then I refreshed the Tidal page in my chrome browser and it showed my email. I then clicked over to the subscription area and it verified that mine does not expire until 8/11/17. I can now cancel my other streaming service now that I am using this. We have also detailed how to import your music from Spotify below.

The big selling point for Tidal, and one of the only things that sets it apart from its cheaper rivals at the moment, is the ability to listen to high-fidelity, lossless tracks. This essentially means that you’ll be getting CD-quality sound rather than the compressed quality of an MP3. Tidal, which is owned by Jay-Z and co-owned or associated with many of Jay-Z’s big name friends, you’ll find exclusive content from artists including Beyonce, Rihanna, Madonna, Alicia Keyes, Kanye West,Deadmau5, Usher and more. You will also find Katy Perry’s new song on Tidal! (more…)

Uber Competitor Wingz Offers Non-Surge Ride Service with $10 Free Credits

uber competitor wingzYou know I’m a huge fan of Uber ride share and Lyft but I am not about their surge pricing which to me is my biggest complaint. The Free market system is about to take care of this at least with airport to and from rides. Wingz provides door-to-door rides going to and from the airport with private transportation and flat rates.

How to get $10 in Free Credits
1. You can get an instant Wingz $5 Free Credit when you sign up for a new Wingz account.
2. Another Bonus they are offering is a promo code to enter at checkout. You can’t enter until the ride is over but this gets you $5 off on top of the $5 you got for the link above. Just enter Promo Code HEART at checkout for an extra $5 discount. In Addition, you can earn additional $10 credits for each new user that you refer after they take their first ride just like Uber and Lyft.

The additional Five dollars off a ride you book this week is valid through the 14th of February.

A pro and a con to Wingz is that you must book at least 2 hours before your pickup time. You cannot do it last minute like you can with an Uber or Lyft but then again it’s nice to have something secure and someone waiting for you. In order to book a ride you must have the Airline and Flight number just like the rental car companies require or most people would like when they want to track when your plane comes in due to delays. It is similar to ridesharing apps in that you do not have to worry about tipping as it is already included. You have less a wait than an airport taxi and it all goes on your credit card to earn miles. Another great feature just added to Wingz is that it now works with TripIt to anticipate your airport transportation needs.

2017 News
Wingz has recently redesigned the online app to match their redesigned ios and Android apps. You can do bookings online for rides a few hours away and they do not have to be from or to the airport anymore. They have also announced that they will provide free rides to anyone caught up in the border situation going on right now. See below.

Wingz to Provide Free Transportation to those Affected by the Travel Ban (February 2017)

You’ve certainly heard about the recent closure of our borders to the incoming flow of travelers from seven different, predominantly Muslim, countries. One of the fundamental missions at Wingz has always been to create and foster lasting relationships between our riders and drivers, regardless of their faith, values, or nationalities. We at Wingz support the tenants of inclusivity that America was founded upon and want to assist those adversely affected in these precarious times.

That’s why throughout the month of February, Wingz is offering free rides from airports to those who were directly affected by the travel ban and are now able to re-enter the country. This would be in any market where they offer service. Contact Wingz directly at ask@wingz.com and they will help you (or someone you know) who is impacted—set up a ride home.

New Features. New Look. New Wingz for 2016.
Improved booking flow and design – They removed any unnecessary screens and clutter to focus solely on the vital info.
Enhanced search functionality – Made it easier to find the pick-up and drop-off destinations you’re looking for.
New suggested pick-up time – Better leveraging your flight info to suggest an ideal pick-up time.

An example far from LAX to North Hollywood, CA is $35 flat rate this includes any time you are sitting in traffic. Try and get that with an Uber.

The service is only in these airports for now:
Portland International Airport (PDX)
Denver International Airport (DEN)
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)
Burbank Bob Hope Airport (BUR)
Chicago Midway Int’l Airport (MDW)
Chicago O’Hare Int’l Airport (ORD)
San Jose Int’l Airport (SJC)
Los Angeles Int’l Airport (LAX)
Oakland Int’l Airport (OAK)
Phoenix Sky Harbor Int’l Airport (PHX)
San Diego Int’l Airport (SAN)

Wingz Launches in Texas
Austin, Dallas and Houston with all inclusive flat rates  to Austin-Bergstom International Airport (AUS), Dallas Love Field (DAL), Dallas/Forth Worth International Airport (DFW) and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).

Update: After major airports in the Bay Area, the L.A. Area and the San Diego Area, Wingz is now available in California’s Capital City Sacramento and throughout the entire state of California. BevRage App to Save on Liquor Purchases

Calling all drinkers! BevRAGE is a cashback app similar to Ibotta, where you scan your receipts for purchases and earn cashback for purchases, but in this case only for alcohol. Also similar to IBotta is that once you reach $20 in earnings, you can receive a payout via PayPal or check. It also reminds us of the TabbedOut app where you get discounts off liquor at certain establishments or on certain brands.

The great thing we have discovered so far with this app is that you can earn cash back off of drinking which can sometimes be pretty expensive. Some of the discounts include $1 off any IPA, $1 off any Mexican beers, and many other great offers.

Free $2
If you sign up via someone’s referral link the person that referred you receives $2.00 for the referral only after that referred person submits their first rebate. Click here to download the App then enter DJ as the referral code to get the $2 credit: http://www.bevrage.com/promo/DJ

1. bevRAGE is paperless and mobile. The days of pulling out a coupon for cash back are behind you.
2. Discovering new brands – Diversify your taste portfolio and allow us to introduce you to great brands.
3. Quick cash back – Rather than waiting months for mail-in rebates, bevRAGE deposits money directly into your PayPal account within 48 hours of submitting the receipt.
4. No balance requirements – Redeem once a day, a week, or a month ‚ there are no minimums or maximums. Use bevRAGE whenever you want and wherever you are.

$35 Statement Credit at Hampton Inn + $10 Off Wine

AmextwitterAmerican Express is has released new Twitter sync promotions to save money at participating merchants. If you haven’t already, make sure that you sync these offers with your American Express Card, as the number of available uses is limited. Links below allow you to Tweet directly from this post to sync these offers with your American Express card.

The first step is to have an American Express card to get these AMEX Offers such as $35 off a Hilton stay. You can use this bonus link to get 75,000 Hilton HHonors Bonus Points after you spend $1000 in purchases on the Card. This card has no annual fee so you have nothing to lose.

$10 Back on Wine!Click Here to Tweet #AmexWine $10 back 1X on purchs totaling $50+ at Wine.com with an Amex Card! Exp 3/31/17.

Here’s an example of PAST offers below you may have missed out on. Look for these to come back as this Hilton offer did!

My favorite’s of the past include the Hilton Hotels $50 back from AMEX offers but it was only for use at “Hilton” hotels not Embassy Suites and not Hilton Garden Inn even though they are owned by the hotel chain.

Hilton HotelsClick Here to Tweet #AmexHilton where you can get a $50 statement credit with a $250+ purchase at a Hilton Hotel & Resort with your registered Amex card. If your total bill is at least $250 which can include all room charges, incidentals, tax, etc. you get the $50 credit. This offer is valid only in the US and excludes Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, and US territories. This offer expires April 11, 2016, but may be limited so send out the tweet now to make sure it’s added to your card!

Hilton ran this promotion earlier this year and it was $60 credit for a $300 purchase so we like this one better as it’s easier to meet the minimum requirement. This charge must be on your AMEX card by December 31, 2016. You must 1) complete your stay by the end of the year, or, 2) pay for a pre-paid room where the charge hits your AMEX card immediately after booking. If you have multiple Amex cards synched with multiple twitter accounts and a $500+ bill you can split the bill upon checkout.

Favor Delivery Service pulls out of all markets except Texas

It seems maybe the time has come for some consolidation in an oversaturated food delivery market. After pursuing an expansion plan that was highly-ambitious the Texas-based delivery service Favor is closing all of its operations outside of its home state.

Favor delivery service said it would pull out of six cities nationwide, ending all service outside of Texas.  Its delivery service remains in 15 Texas cities, including Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. The cities Favor is exiting are Boston, Denver, Nashville, Charlotte, N.C. and Tempe and Scottsdale, Ariz. The startup, once in 22 U.S. cities and Toronto, say it will focus on becoming profitable.

There are so many players right now it’s hard to know when app to have in which city or restaurant. Some restaurants prefer Door Dash and others may like Postmates. Judging from a poll conducted from a popular rideshare blog they concluded the industry leaders right now for drivers are the following:

  1. Uber
  2. Lyft
  3. Postmates
  4. Door Dash
  5. Uber Eats
  6. Juno

That should tell you right there that Favor is nowhere favored and not really talked about much outside of Texas where they are based. You can bet that Favor will get bought out in the near future from one of the bigger players and we see a lot more consolidation in the rideshare and delivery services.

One thing we really found interesting reading the recent rideshare survey from drivers in this poll above is that Uber Eats ranks so low compared to Postmates and Door Dash even though Uber drivers are already out on the road. You would think Uber would have a monopoly on the delivery category as well but they may have too much to focus on with regulations and such.

10,000 Free Alaska Miles or Free $100 Credit for linking Virgin America Account

10,000 Free Alaska Miles or Free $100 Credit for linking Virgin America Account

The year started out with a big surprise for many members of Alaska Air’s Mileage Plan. They received an email saying they could link their mileage earning program to Virgin America and get a free 10,000 miles added to their account and the elite status. I was not signed up with Alaska Airlines when I heard about this offer so I quickly signed up and I was also able to get the free 10,000 miles and elite status match.

If you are a Virgin America Elevate member you can go here to the Alaska Mileage Plan. This follows Alaska’s takeover of Virgin America which closed a few weeks ago and gives a look at what their combined their loyalty programs will look like.

After I signed up I received an email saying:
Your Virgin America Elevate status is paying off on Alaska Airlines.
You’re now an MVP member. Your new benefits start with your choice of 10,000 bonus miles or $100 off any Alaska-operated flight when you activate your account.
Once you activate your account, you can get 30% more miles when you convert your Elevate points to Mileage Plan miles and then redeem your miles on Alaska, Virgin America, and our global airline partners. Want to know more about your membership? Take a video tour of Mileage Plan and learn more about our generous benefits. The elite benefits you will enjoy are:
» 50% bonus on base miles earned
» Complimentary seat upgrades to First Class and Premium Class upon availability
» Two free checked bags for you and a companion
» Priority check-in and boarding
» Discounted Alaska® Lounge membership

You should notice the 10,000 bonus miles appearing in your accounts with the description “SPECIAL SERVICES ELEVATE MEMBER OTO 10K BONUS.”

I did have some trouble getting the form to work online and process correctly so I had to call in to the customer service number for Mileage Plan but that only took a few minutes. It was absolutely worth the trouble for MVP status with Alaska Airlines and 10,000 free miles. With the 30% bonus on transferred miles from Virgin America I plan on transferring them all to Alaska.
